12 weeks and nuchal translucency
12 weeks today. one week away from 2nd trimester!!! hoping my dislike of toothpaste will go away soon. i noticed that i'm slightly less fatigued but still pretty tired. my nipples still hurt. my gums are starting to bleed more. after i take my prenatal vitamins, my burp smells like fish. also get more discharge (poor hanky pankies)! oh boy, this just gets sexier everyday!
today was our nuchal translucency ultrasound. had to do it with a full bladder so when the technician was moving the thing around my belly, i was fighting so hard not to pee. she took a lot of pictures. we saw the heart beating (~170+ beats per min), both legs and both arms. too bad we weren't allowed to video today's ultrasound... the baby kept moving its arms, like punching or karate. mik is so proud. :) it was so cute. i started laughing and the woman told me to try to be quiet and stay still. the baby is now almost 6cm long which she said was normal. she said everything looks good but we have to wait til next week for the results.

they say higher heartrates may indicate a baby girl vs. baby boy. not sure how accurate that is and i can't remember how it was for my babies but just thought i'd throw it out there. lol you look wonderful! see you in 12 sleeps!
Lol. Your so funny! You will have more sexy to come with passing gas and food always falling on your belly. Lol ;). Love reading your posts! I wish I did this during my pregnancies.
