20-week anatomy scan

last friday, we had our 20-week anatomy scan. it was really cool to see all the baby's body parts in detail (heart, arms, legs, kidneys, stomach, eyes, nose, lips, etc).  see some ultrasound pics below.  our technician said our baby was posing... like a movie star with the paparazzi.  :)  she had an easy time taking pics of everything - even the heart which she said is usually tough - except his nose and lips at the end.  my theory is he got tired of posing and wanted to nap!  the last one is a wee wee shot...  she said "he's very proud."  haha. 

 

 

she also said at one point "this kid is going wild!" because he kept moving around.  so cute!!!  our technician clearly loved her job so it made it more enjoyable for us.  but who wouldn't love looking at babies all day long?!  our baby is now 13 ounces.  all my iphone apps say he should be 10-11 ounces.  does that mean he's going to be big?!!!

last friday we went to a wedding.  it was weird to be at a wedding and not take advantage of the open bar.  it was also hard to dance - my belly kept bumping into mik.  ;)  something strange happened to me that night...  i was designated driver.  i've never been designated driver in my entire life!!!

on saturday, on my way home after physique 57 class,  this man gave up his seat for me on the subway.  oh geez - i must be HUGE now!

our baby kept kicking me while at work today. it was early in the afternoon after i just ate salt and vinegar chips. i wonder if he liked or disliked the chips... i was IMing with mik:

me: "baby keeps kicking me"

mik: "that's because no one has taught him never to hit women yet." 

here's my 20-week belly shot taken last saturday.  just woke up and about to workout.  i'm wearing my only pre-pregnancy workout top that still fits.  in a few weeks, it will probably turn into a half top!
