papa's first kick
while we were in bed this morning, with my belly against mik's back, the baby kicked pretty hard. so hard that mik felt it on his back! he asked "what was that?" i said it was the baby. so strong that it couldn't have been gas (although i have a lot of that too)! we have been waiting for him to feel the baby kick - finally - YAY!
lately i've been feeling like i have nothing to wear to work. for maternity, i only have 2 pairs of j-brand jeans, a pair of leggings, 4 tops (one for working out) and yoga pants. other than that, i'm still desperately trying to squeeze into my pre-pregnancy clothes... some work but most do not! mik and i went to gap yesterday so i could get some maternity basics. they had 40% off friends and family so it was a good deal. i bought a bunch of stuff and everything came out cheaper than the dress i got at rosie pope's!
we watched the pacquiao vs. marquez fight last night at a friend's house. it was so stressful that i wished i had taken lamaze classes before i watched it! the baby kept kicking during the fight as if saying "go pacman! knock him out!" :)
having this big belly is still strange to me. a lot of people asked to touch my belly last night. it's nice and weird at the same time. one of the best things about being pregnant is not having any stomach rolls even when you're slouched. i don't care how skinny or taut someone's tummy is - there is still that roll when you're hunched over. but when you're pregnant, you don't have that issue. you just have one huge roll that is so cute everyone wants to touch it.
