happy new year! happy 3rd trimester!

happy new year!!!  it's 2012 - the year dragon will be born.  we're so excited!!!  we counted down (shocking i was able to stay up that late!) at the chavez' house with my sister's fam and great friends.  my first sober NYE in a long time but had fun anyway.  all the kiddies had a dance-off and i can't wait for our baby to partake.  with mama and papa's dancing skills, he should be good to go!  ;)

as of last friday, i'm 28 weeks - in my 3rd trimester! 12 more weeks to go!  ACK!!!  i'm supposed to gain at least 10 more lbs.  oh man...  here's a pic taken today:

hope everyone enjoyed xmas this year.  i definitely did.  love all the family time and great to see friends too.  everyone's excited to meet the lil dragon.  wrote him a letter:

dear dragon,

you're still in the womb but you already took over our xmas this year!  you got lots of presents already.  was fun opening them for you.  tons of cute stuff.  tita kat, tito jason and fam wrote this letter below that almost made mama cry.  they gave you a bouncer, which hopefully puts you to sleep all the time.  they also gave us an heirloom - the fuzzy bear suit that papa gave joshie when he was born.  tita kaye, tito steve and fam gave you the bath tub that you will be using (esp. after you have a brownout!) and a super soft stuffed animal with matching super soft blankie.  azurin fam gave you two plaid onesies and gave mama a nursing starter kit.  tita bam, tito alfonso and fam gave you adorable socks that look like shoes and a super soft blankie.  they also gave mama a boppy but since we already got one as a gift, mama had to return it (for bigger bras - will blog about this later).  anderson fam gave you clothes and a toy that holds photos.  quest fam gave you a cute duck bathrobe.  h-set family gave you a book and a toy.  grandpa kevin gave you a gc to babies r us.  can't wait to put them all on you (of course not at the same time) and take pics!  a year from now, it will be your first xmas - looking forward to that!  you will LOVE santa.  don't care if we never get xmas presents again as long as you do.
