30 weeks and 30 pounds

30 weeks.  wow wow wee.  10 more weeks to go.  i don't feel panic (yet) even though we're so not ready.  it's probably going to be less than 10 weeks - as i've mentioned in an earlier blog, i think i'm going to be early (hoping just 1 week).

30 pounds.  OMG i can't gain any more weight.  i don't want to but supposed to gain another 10 from here on out.  it's not helping that with the holidays and my recent work trip to toronto, my workout schedule has been derailed for the past month....  not to mention all the yummy food and sweets consumed!  need to get back on track next week after we come back from LA/SF.  30 pounds is a LOT of extra weight to be carrying on my frame.  according to babycenter.com, there are 7 pregnancy aches and pains.  it's no wonder i have all but the first one!

1. headaches - hope i never get this!
2. hemorrhoids (yes - but not painful... yet)
3. heartburn (occasionally)
4. leg cramps (occasionally while i sleep)
5. low back pain (for me it's tailbone)
6. round ligament pain (on left side)
7. carpal tunnel syndrome (worse at night and mornings when i wake up)

i've also been having weird dreams (some are sexual) and i'm not going to divulge the details!  lately i've been very emotional and have mood swings.  it's not helping that i probably wake up 30 times at night due to the pains i mentioned above.  i definitely tolerate less now especially at work.

dragon's movements are more frequent and have been stronger.  i started doing kick counts 2 days ago before i go to sleep.  it usually doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes to get 10 movements from him.  now if i can only get my kegel exercises going...  3 sets of 20 daily.  hmmmm...  can i count kicks and do kegels at the same time?

got back from toronto last night.  super tired from the 3-day workshops with IBM.  on the flight back, this asian guy in his 30s next to me didn't offer to put/get my luggage to/from the overhead compartments.  FAIL.  flying again today to CA for the west coast baby showers (my last trip until dragon is born).  i'm very excited - my first baby shower!!!  :)
