west coast baby showers

last weekend, we had our back-to-back west coast baby showers.  we arrived in LA on friday night, had our LA shower on saturday, then flew early on sunday to SF for our 2nd shower. as exhausting as it sounds, we had a really great time! it was wonderful to see family and friends gather together to celebrate the pending birth of our first child. we felt very loved. we're grateful to have everyone in our lives. we can't wait for our son to meet each and every one of you!

huge thanks to tita kat for being the LA shower ringleader and hosting it at her beautiful home. thanks also to tita katie, tita marites, and grandma sylvia for helping out with the planning. thanks to tito wards for helping with the dragon designs. it turned out to be the most perfect first baby shower ever! loved all the little details (decor, cake, favors, etc) and had fun with all the games. after being on my feet all day and mingling with the guests (backyard, living room, kitchen - all over the house!), i was pretty exhausted that night. slept early since we had a 7am flight the next day.

when we arrived in SF, we had to take a nap and refuel for more festivities. huge thanks to my little sis kaye for planning the SF shower and hosting it in her office (sorry for stressing you out, sis!). thanks also to tita alexis for helping out with the planning.  it was great to see relatives and friends who i haven't seen in a long time. mik and i were a little tired after the LA shower so we were glad that it was half the size and more mellow... an awesome 2nd baby shower!

we couldn't have been happier with both celebrations.  we're really super thankful... we received most of our baby registry items already - yay! we also received enough monetary gifts to purchase our crib - double yay! it definitely takes away some of the stress and makes us feel more prepared for our baby's arrival. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!  hugs and kisses from the dragon clan.
