baby names

we always get asked "do you have a name for the baby yet?"  we had ideas in the beginning which we shared with people.  then we quickly put a kabosh on that.  everyone has their opinions about names based on their own tastes and whether they know another person (they don't like) with that name.  so we decided not to share our name ideas anymore.  the baby's name has been the hardest decision for us and it's really OUR decision to make.  no one else's input should matter.  so do we have a name for the baby yet?  yes, we do and sorry, we're not sharing.  you get to find out when the baby is born.  ;)  what we are willing to share now is our baby's middle name (even though not 100% definite).  since the baby isn't getting my last name, i wanted him to have something from my family.  just to give you a little bit of history, my grandma on my dad's side took care of me when i was a newborn/toddler because my mom was still in college when she had me.  my grandma's maiden name... which is also my dad's middle name... which is also a name i have always liked...  will most likely be our baby's middle name: lucas - a biblical name which means "bringer of light".
