my 1st mother's day
never enjoyed mother's day as much as i did last sunday. being a
mother for the first time really makes it very special. we didn't even
have to do anything or go anywhere and it would still be the most
memorable mother's day for me. just spending time with my new family
was enough. seeing one smile on maki's face would have been enough.
having paul's sis kat here was an added bonus. ;) it was a relaxing
day. we went to church at st. patricks, had brunch at 100 acres, walked
around soho, pumped out the mimosas i drank during
brunch, got a pedi and just relaxed at home.
i absolutely love being a mama to my baby malakai. wouldn't trade it for anything... it's a job but it's really the best job ever - it's sooooo rewarding! because of him, i know what unconditional love means... ("true" love for mik!) and he taught me patience. now that i have experienced it, i have great respect for all mothers out there. happy mother's day to all of you!!!
