catch up on maki pics

can't believe my baby boy is 5 1/2 months now.... and going on his first flight this weekend to LA for his baptism!  i'm a little freaked out.  i shipped a few things there already and hope i don't forget anything.   i have a "what to pack" cheat sheet when i travel.   it's very comprehensive from all my trips.  now i need to add maki's stuff to that list!  eek.  but we're so excited for the trip.  maki will finally meet most of his relatives!  i'm a little homesick too.  i've been bugging mik about moving back.  :(

today i forgot my medela bottles so maki and nanny stopped by my work to drop them off.  i showed him around to a few coworkers and they all said he's so much bigger than last time... and so cute!  :)  it was nice to see him in the middle of my work day.  but as soon as he left, i missed my chubby cheeks.  *sniff*

my formula arrived last week.  total came out to ~$370 and all covered by insurance - no copay at all!  wow wow wee!  thanks again to obama, we have 12 cans of nutramigen with enflora lgg for free!

i noticed that my milk supply is a little down during the week i'm supposed to get my monthly friend.  that was the case this month and the month before.  i'll see if it happens again next month.  i ended up giving maki 6oz of formula per day, but now back to 4oz again.

what's new with maki:

• he likes to sleep on his tummy now
• he sits up unsupported pretty well
• he is dying to crawl (might happen any minute now)
• he likes to reach for things...  he's getting "malikot" (wriggly)!
• he's such a great napper/sleeper/eater - no complaints here!
• he extends his arms when he wants to be picked up (very cute)
• he rolls over like a champ (both ways)
• he loves the iphone... UH OH

everyone has been asking about the new nanny.   we LOVE her.  she is AWESOME.  she brought mik her home-made hot sauce and also a slice of red velvet cake from her hubby's bday.  she's really great!!!  here's the difference between her and the previous nanny:

ann-marie, current nanny, is very neat and organized

julie, former nanny, is all over the place
