the dragon project: happy 4th of july!

it's maki's first july 4th holiday! too bad he's too young to appreciate fireworks... and he was asleep by 7:25pm. he was pretty pooped. mik's tito mando and tita teri came over and played with him for over an hour today. as you can see from the pics below, he had a really great time and had a lot of laughs! then we went to a friend's bbq party - maki's first rooftop party! it was so hot though. today was 93 degrees and we found the only shade on the entire rooftop. we hung out there for an hour then we took maki downstairs to the lounge area so he can nap with airconditioning. we came back upstairs when he woke up and stayed for a bit chatting up with friends. he was very stimulated - busy day for him! after he went to bed, mik and i watched the fireworks on tv. all i could think about was how he will love watching it next year... happy 4th of july!
