B-A-N-A-N-A-S

maki tried bananas for the first time yesterday.  so funny watching him shake every time he takes a bite.  it's not even sour so not sure why he's reacting that way.  it's so cute though!  haha.  here's a video:

i've been in pain for the past few days.  maki has been biting me when i nurse him...  he's teething like crazy and he bites on ANYTHING, me included.  i try to pull away, sometimes not fast enough, to give him a teething ring.  i don't want to stop nursing him yet but it's very painful.  he doesn't even have teeth yet!  i could only imagine if he had teeth.  YIKES.  he has been teething before he even turned 3 months.  when is this darn tooth going to come out?  mik and i are sticking to our plan that when this tooth finally falls out, we are going to beat it to death.  even more so now.  i'm not ready to give up the connection with him when i nurse in the mornings.  it's our QT together.  i get him out of the crib all happy, change his diaper, nurse him and then we read a few books together before we start playing.  i don't want things to change... yet.  hope he stops biting soon!!!  i've never had mastitis, but i've had clogged ducts three times before and this is by far the most painful.  waaah.

today we did the breast cancer walk in central park in honor of mik's mom who recently had surgery to treat it.  she's recovering wonderfully - what a strong woman.  she really is an inspiration.  we're so thankful to God that it was detected early (stage 0).  there were lots of survivors who did the walk... and people who lost loved ones.  :(  we were out and about for almost 3 hours.  had to pull over a couple of times to feed maki.  he was losing it towards the end.  i had to sing several songs to calm him down.  we were running late for his nap time and he just wanted out of the stroller.  when we got home, all 3 of us took naps!  but happy we did it - it was for a great cause.  some of our pictures here:
