merry xmas & happy new year!

merry xmas and happy new year!!!  sorry it has been a while since i've blogged but we were swamped with holiday festivities!  it was maki's first xmas and i'm proud that we didn't go overboard with his presents...  or so i think.   :) it was soooo much fun seeing him open gifts although he's more interested in the wrapping paper, xmas card and box.  we had a great time with our families in the bay and LA.  now that we have a baby and also older (and wiser?), i appreciate family time so much more.  i enjoyed watching maki play with his cousins - both on my side and mik's.   it was nice to see him surrounded by grandparents, kids, godparents, aunts, uncles, etc.  that's really what the holidays are all about!

can't believe it's now 2013.  2012 was such an incredible year.  who would have known that i would love motherhood this much.  maki has brought so much love and happiness into our lives in such a short time.  how can 2013 top that?!!

maki had tons of xmas presents.  below are a few pics of him opening some gifts in the apt.   i'll have to upload the xmas/nye pics from CA later this week.  there are so many!
