st. john usvi family vacation

for vday and president's day weekend, we went to st. john, our last caribbean vacation before moving to the west coast.  i have been there once before and absolutely loved so i couldn't wait to take my family there.  i picked the westin because it's voted best family starwood hotel.  there were definitely tons of families there!  like when we went to hawaii, it took some time to get into the groove but once we got into it, it was so much fun.  it's an hour ahead of nyc so maki went to sleep at 9pm.  that's when mik and i watched paid movies in the hotel.  :)  we caught up on so many movies (life of pi, silver linings playbook, skyfall, etc).  the only hard thing about being on vacation with maki is his food.  i didn't like giving him the packaged food even if it is organic.  he def prefers regular food already and we tried to give him some chicken, eggs, french fries and other stuff but still limited in what we can feed him.  by the end of the trip, he hated the packaged pouches!

st. john is part of the US virgin islands so our cell phones worked and we didn't need a passport.  although we'll need to get maki one soon for our mexican aguilar family vacation in july.  ay caramba!

here are some photos from st. john, our first alone family vacation:

we had such a great time.  i would love to go back when maki is a little older.  such a great family resort!  i would also like to spend more time since it is such a trek to get there (need to go to the dock and take a ferry then go to hotel).
