happy 1/2 year old!

awwww 6 months old today!  half a year...  mik and i made it.  :)  and what a wonderful half a year it was.  while it was the hardest 6 months in our relationship, it was also the greatest.  maki has filled our lives with so much happiness.

big boy is now in his new high chair... and promoted to level 3 nipples.  everyone can't wait to get him started on solids including the nanny.  she is looking forward to making trips to her fave store (whole foods) and preparing maki's meals!  it was also her 33rd birthday today.  we surprised her with a cupcake and candle when she walked in the door.  in her pic with maki below, she hasn't washed her hands (just literally walked in) so she didn't want to touch the baby yet.  ha!  we got her a few presents, which she liked.  maki reeeeaaaallly wanted the cupcake.  this boy is more than ready for real food!  i can't wait to videotape his first bite.  wish we were seeing the dr tomorrow instead of friday (had to reschedule the appt due to an all-day work training) so we can feed him solids already!
