the dragon project: hi soy, welcome back!

i reintroduced soy back into my diet starting friday 8/31. ate a lot of filipino food cooked in soy sauce over maki's baptism weekend. ate edamame a few nights ago too. fortunately, maki's poop didn't have any visible blood. i took his poopy diaper to the dr's office on thurs for microscopic blood and it tested negative. YAY! so happy i don't know what to do with myself... actually i do -- i reintroduced dairy yesterday. we went to levain bakery to pick up my favorite cookie. well, i love the chocolate with peanut butter but didn't get that since i don't want to reintroduce both dairy and peanut butter.... ended up with oatmeal raisin. still good but not great. today i ate my favorite pancakes at pazza notte. yum! hopefully chubby cheeks does ok with dairy too. i'll feel really guilty if he gets a bloody poop again. :( he pooped today and no blood. crossing fingers and toes that he's no longer dairy sensitive! will know for sure on friday when we go to the dr for his 6-month checkup. i still can't believe i was on a dairy & soy free diet for over 4 months! oh the sacrifices we do for our children.

while i was in LA, i didn't get to pump as much as i normally do. so my milk supply is down right now. it's an ongoing battle. so we've been giving maki 50% formula while i try to increase my supply. this makes me really sad. maki loves the breast milk. :( was told malta and ice cream help with supply. i can't find malta and i don't want to start on ice cream just yet.

i've been doing a lot of online shopping. getting maki ready for the big S... solids! we bought the stokke high chair and baby seat, beaba food maker, couple of cookbooks, containers, spoons, bowls, plastic bib.... i'm soooooo excited for him! i have a feeling chubby cheeks will loooove solids.
